ModularSLM Privacy Policy

The short version

ModularSLM runs entirely on your device. We collect nothing: no analytics, no ads, and no chat contents. Your conversations and models never leave your phone.

On-device AI

All model inference happens locally on your device. Your prompts and the responses are never sent to us or to any third party.

Data we collect

None. You do not need an account, and we store no personal information about you on any server. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details.

Optional sign-in and backup

Settings has an optional "Backup & sync" switch that is off by default. If you turn it on and choose Sign in with Apple, the app saves your Apple account identifier, and your email if you choose to share it, on your device only. Nothing is sent to us, because the backup service is not live yet. Sign out, or "Erase all my data", removes them.

When backup launches, this policy will be updated before that version ships to say exactly what is stored on our servers, why, and how to delete it.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, erase and port your data, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to return or delete. "Erase all my data" in the app's Settings deletes everything the app stores on your device. EU/EEA residents may also complain to their local supervisory authority.

Your rights (California, CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information, and we collect no sensitive personal information. California residents may ask what data we hold, or ask us to delete it, using the contact below.

Children

ModularSLM is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If what the app collects or how it is used changes, we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
