Account and contact info: name, email you provide.

App content: saved quotes, notes, preferences, feedback you submit.

Device and usage data: device model, OS, app version, IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, and crash logs.

Identifiers: device identifiers such as IDFA (if you grant permission) and Identifier for Vendor (IDFV).

2. How we use data

App functionality: operate features, sync and back up your content, prevent fraud, and ensure reliability.

Analytics: understand feature usage and improve performance.

Advertising: show and measure ads. If you allow tracking via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT), partners may use the IDFA to personalize ads.

3. Tracking and your choices

We may request permission via Apple’s ATT prompt to access the device advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads and ad measurement.

You can change this at any time: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and you can reset the advertising identifier in Settings.

You may also receive non‑personalized ads if you decline tracking.

4. Third‑party services we use

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies:

• Google AdMob (Advertising): uses device identifiers (e.g., IDFA), IP address, and usage data to deliver and measure ads. See Google’s policies: Ads Help, Google Privacy Policy.
• Firebase (Analytics, Firestore/Cloud Storage): collects app events, device/app info, and stores usage logs and content you back up or submit. See: Firebase Privacy and Security.
• Apple iCloud (Backups, if enabled): stores user content and settings for sync/backup within your Apple account. See: Apple Privacy Policy.

5. Data categories and purposes

Device IDs (IDFA/IDFV): advertising, analytics, fraud prevention; IDFA only with ATT consent.

Usage data (interactions, diagnostics, crash logs): analytics, app functionality, security.

User content (saved quotes, notes, feedback): app functionality, support.

Contact info (name, email): account communication and support.

6. Data retention

Usage analytics and logs: retained up to 24 months unless a shorter period is required.

User content and backups: retained until you delete it or request deletion. Provider‑level backup snapshots may persist for a limited time under their policies.

7. Your rights and controls

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR, CPRA/CCPA), you may:

• Access, correct, export, or delete your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Opt‑out of cross‑context behavioral advertising by declining tracking in iOS and/or choosing non‑personalized ads where available.

8. Children’s privacy

Our apps are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or show personalized ads to children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where supported, access controls, and least‑privilege practices. No method is 100% secure.

10. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers operating under confidentiality and security obligations.
• Authorities when required by law.
• Parties to a business transaction (with notice where required).

11. International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).
